UPDATE 2: Still a lot of visitors come to my site, so I decided to update the code to a newer one which works as of November 2011. It’s worth to mention that executing Javascript directly in the URL field is not supported for all browsers. It should work in Google Chrome, there is now even an extension for this feature called Facebook Super Select All. Thanks for the contribution in the comments!
UPDATE 1: After this post was originally written, Facebook came up with a solution to create lists of friends. You can create several lists, based on your own personal criterias, and add your friends to different lists, which you then can send event or page invitations to. I would rather recommend using this solution provided by Facebook, so that you don’t send information which might not apply to all of your friends.
To create a list, go to your Account settings, choose Edit Friends and Create new list. After you’ve created new lists you have an option to filter friends based on list names when you’re inviting friends to events or pages.
The newly redesigned Facebook has led inviting members to an event/group/page to an even more complex process. Why can’t they just make a “select all” button? Initially I got tired of clicking several hundred times on all the pictures to invite people to my event, so I came up with this small piece of Javascript:
Go to your event/group/page, click invite people and then paste this snippet in the URL field of your browser.
Left-click the mouse in the URL field and hit Enter. Your invitations will not be sent yet, but all your friends will be selected. Click the “Invite” or “Send” button on the Facebook page to finally send the invites.
Soi! Done in one go

You just have to do it a few times. Put a couple dashes in the message box – I found that helped.
January 28th, 2011 at 28 January, 2011
Just to confirm this does work … even with 3975 friends!
January 29th, 2011 at 29 January, 2011
The problem I have is that I do not have an “invite people” to join button on my face book group page???
I have an “add friends” button but no “invite people” button so I can’t use the java script to add all my face book friends from my profile to my group.
I am the admin and logged in.
Any help greatly appreciated.
Many thanks

Seriously owe you a beer or three, thanks so much for sharing!
Works fine with nearly 1,900 invites sent…patience for your CPU to shred itself, and then for FB to release it’s invitations which go in 50 batches at a time.

Thanks, bro.

This didn’t work for me on my artist page with the new facebook, BUT i went to Account > Edit Friends > Create New List & then I pasted the code and it worked. Now you can use your list to select all friends on your page.

i like it
February 3rd, 2011 at 3 February, 2011
it doesnt work anymore
February 4th, 2011 at 4 February, 2011
this trick has nearly killed facebook events
they worked so well because, as a user, you only get told about an event once
and its usually something you are interested in _because_ it takes people time
to select lots of people instead of just bulk sending like this.
glad they closed the loop
February 7th, 2011 at 7 February, 2011
Yeah, it seems Facebook fixed it so the javascript code doesn’t work to select all your friends. It does “select” them, but if you refresh your event page, the invites don’t add up.
*TEMP FIX! If you click on “Invite Friends” and then ‘Filter’ you can filter by ‘Friends List’ (seems to only show in Chrome and not Firefox).. But for me some reason it only selects a portion of my friends in my ‘All’ list.. Then you click ‘Select All’ on the right of the box and it WILL invite those people.*
February 7th, 2011 at 7 February, 2011
the script still picks up all addresses, in my case all 2,200 friends… even I get the confirmation, that all invitations on my even page are sent to all… But its not so…..
No single invitation is sent out… the number of invitations left side in the statistics is not changing….
Seems Facebook has blocked the script…. I tried it same in Firefox and in Google Chrome. Same in Google Chrome with the extension “Facebook invite all”. But same result there…. nothing sent out…
What to do ? – Tks in advance…
February 7th, 2011 at 7 February, 2011
Always freezes my Firefox, and have to switch to Safari
February 8th, 2011 at 8 February, 2011
Yes! Just use the script to create a Friends List and then select that list when you click “Invite Friends” on the event page! It works!
February 8th, 2011 at 8 February, 2011
Wow this helped alot, thanks buddy
February 8th, 2011 at 8 February, 2011
Block invitations from dj’s are the worst thing you can do on facebook and “friends” that obviously can’t be there end up thinking the poster is inconsiderate. Its also a myth that other people will fall for the “oh he’s so busy” line…..
February 9th, 2011 at 9 February, 2011
i’ve used it before and it works great,
it just doenst seem to work now

February 11th, 2011 at 11 February, 2011
Facebook must have changed something because it’s not working anymore. I used your code for over a year but in the last few weeks it hasn’t been working for me. After I invite friends with your code, I get a message that all friends have been invited. But “Awaiting reply” is still 0.

Didn’t work for us…
Facebook definitely changed somethings this year. I was able to choose all my friends manually and it went thru, it’s my recollection that they limited the amount of friends before the change.

Thank you so fucking much !!!
February 19th, 2011 at 19 February, 2011
Thanks a bunch…Works Great!!!
February 20th, 2011 at 20 February, 2011
Facebook has an update now. If your profile is on an updated server right now, you are able to invite manually only and even manual is limited with 100 invites. In my case: more than 2.300 friends, means 23 times invitation :/

FB now very smart. They doing business. FB is a platform for them to get money, money and more money through their FB advert. They now don’t allow you simply connect your friends or members.
March 1st, 2011 at 1 March, 2011
It works well enough to tick all those boxes – I hop the invitations have gone out
Thanks so much for the help – really appreciate it!

This will only invite the 9 people showing, I have to click the next button or a different page number and hit enter in the address bar again. It is nice that it covers the 9 on that page and you don’t have to click them all but I am still looking for the code to select all my friends. Do you have a new code?
March 9th, 2011 at 9 March, 2011
THANKYOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

You are a genius! Thank you so much I love u!
March 10th, 2011 at 10 March, 2011
I did this and at first I thought it worked but I have not received 1 person liking the page because they didn’t really receive the invite. As well, I became new friends with people and when I go to invite them to my fan page it shows them already faded (meaning they have already been invited) but they haven’t and are not in the page. Is there a way to UNDO this feature?
